If you are having trouble opening Microsoft Office programs or opening SharePoint files in their respective Apps try these steps:
1. Go to Settings in the Start menu
2. Choose Apps
3. Under Apps & Features scroll down to Microsoft Office, there should only be MS Office 365 Pro Plus. Some users have discovered that there is both Pro Plus and MS Office 365 Business.
4. If you have MS Office 365 Business, click on it and then click Uninstall
5. Follow the instructions to uninstall then restart your device to ensure that all updates are installed.
6. If you are unable to open MS Office files and you find that there is only MS Office 365 Pro Plus installed, try a “Quick Repair”. This can be initiated by clicking Modify instead of Uninstall.
7. Click Yes when it asks if you want to allow this app to make changes on your device.
8. Save all work before, as the program will close them.
9. Then click Repair, then Repair again to initiate the program.
10. After the program is finished running try reopening Office programs and they should be operational
11. Let IT know if the problem continues after trying these steps!
